Discover the journey of Drew Preston, a talented musician and private lesson instructor based in Charlotte, NC. His early interest in orchestral, jazz and bluegrass music began a lifelong pursuit of musical knowledge. By honing his skills through solo performances, ensembles, and countless hours of practice, Drew’s talent flourished. Drew's passion led him to study conducting and organize captivating performances, showcasing his skill and love for orchestral music. His accomplishments include serving as concertmaster for the South Carolina Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, winning the National School Orchestra Award, and participating in orchestral conducting workshops across the world.

Hear Me Play

Drew participated in the UofSC String Project for 4 years, which is regarded as one of the top music education programs in the country. Here, Drew improved his teaching skills in the classroom as well as one-on-one lessons. In addition, he instructed private lessons at Freeway Music for 5 years, teaching violin, viola, cello, mandolin, and ukulele to students aged 4-67. Drew is now the owner of Drew Preston Music, LLC. He is eager to share his musical expertise by living out his passion for music.
